Explore a place. Help its story grow.

Orreria is a participatory, noncommercial directory of flora, fauna, folklore, food and archetypes, organized around place. Its Claude connector offers place readings and their sources as one way into that directory.

Coverage begins with named public localities in the United States and Canada. You can contribute corrections, source leads and local knowledge through Help Build Orreria. Contributions are reviewed before publication.

Connect

Add https://shape-production.up.railway.app/mcp as a custom connector using Streamable HTTP. Select No sign in; no account, API key or custom headers are needed. The endpoint is a release candidate; a connection error means it is not available yet.

Try it

• Give me an Orreria reading for Deer Isle, Maine.
• Explore Montreal’s ecology and season, and show the sources behind the reading.
• Find Portland and let me choose the intended place before making a reading.

Three read-only tools

find_place returns public locality matches and temporary identifiers. read_place returns a current reading with selectable summary, ecology, season and folklore sections. get_reading_sources returns the citations and method notes for that exact reading.

The connector does not save readings to public Field Notes, submit contributions, edit records, access accounts or files, shop, transfer money, or generate images, audio or video. It does not ask for conversation history or personal reflections. Orreria’s server makes no generative-model calls in the initial configuration.

Read with context

Regional models and nearby observations do not establish species presence at a specific site. Weather may fall back to seasonal estimates. Folklore is cultural interpretation. Readings are not medical advice, foraging identification, prophecy or safety forecasts. How Orreria reads a place.

If something goes wrong

Place and reading identifiers expire after 15 minutes or a service restart. Search again for a fresh identifier. After a rate-limit error, wait one minute. If a provider is unavailable, retry later. Missing local sources remain missing; they are not evidence that an event or species was present. For persistent problems, contact support@orreria.com with the tool name and error code, without private chat content.

Privacy and sources

Read the connector privacy notice and source and provider notes. This directory is not organized around advertising or product promotion. This connector has no Buck’s Spices product links, shopping tools or discounts.
